Gulf Stream Aviation Company

This Twin Engine AeroCommander, N680JW, was purchased requiring an Annual Inspection, some Repairs and Preventative Maintenance to the AirCraft. We are also looking to add Air-Conditioning for the summer season to improve the Cabin Comfort for our Passengers. Most of the work to put this very nice AirCraft back into Service has been completed with a labor of love and Funds as they were available.

This AirCraft is in Very Good Mechanical Condition and after our work on her to put her into a very good AirWorthy Condition, she will be Very Reliable and Trouble FREE for a long time. We have been working diligently to keep progress moving toward completion, however, sometimes progress is slower than we would like due to a shortage of Funds and other unforeseen circumstances, but, we are close to having all of the work finished.

We are looking to sell pre-paid Blocks of Flight Time to Private Companies, NGOs, Foundations, Missionary Organizations and other Contracts for Flight Time, at a reasonable Discount from the Retail Price, to expedite and finalize the Annual Inspection, Repairs, Preventative Maintenance and to Install the Air-Conditioning and UpGrades which are expected, after we have purchased all of the needed Parts and Supplies, to take approximately 10 days to 2 weeks of work to finish this Excellent AirCraft so that we can put her into Profitable Service, preferably, in Haiti.

Our AeroCommander can accommodate 9 Passengers and up to 10 Passenger Seats +Pilot, if circumstances and conditions are right, however, it is currently set-up for 8 Passenger Seats +Pilot. We do have the additional Passenger Seats for the 9 to 10 Passenger Configuration. The Cabin Volume is approximately 250 Cubic Feet and the Baggage Volume is approximately 78 Cubic Feet. (The Interior Passenger Cabin Area and Volume of the AirCraft is slightly larger than the Cabin Area and Volume of a Chevy Suburban or Ford Excursion with the seats removed).

In the near Future, our Business Plan includes a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for a much LARGER Cabin Entrance Door, 2 Doors which open in Opposite Directions, similar to what is shown in the Photo and Drawing at the Bottom of this WebPage. This much Larger pair of Doors will facilitate much greater ease of Loading and will allow for Wheel Chair Access, Medical Gurneys for Patients who are not able to sit in a regular AirCraft Seat and to facilitate the loading of Over Sized / Odd Sized Objects which could include Medical Transport Equipment (EMS Support) or Caskets, Construction Equipment or any other type of Equipment that would not be easily transported on other AirCraft.

The Long Body Model Series of the Twin Engine AeroCommander are an ideal AirCraft to be modified as a "Special Use AirCraft" for many Passengers with Special Needs such as Power Wheel Chairs, Medical Issues, Disabilities, Over Sized Body and Weights ( such as: football players, wrestlers, and excessively Obese people) or those people who need to be in a Horizontal Position for Travel; and all types of Cargo, particularly due to the ease of Loading into this AirCraft which is approximately 18" from the Ground to the Cabin Floor. The Interior Design of the Twin Commander makes for a very fast Transition from an 8 or 10 Passenger Configuration to another Configuration, such as for Medium EMS Support or for Medical Evacuations or OverSized Cargo or Special Passenger Needs. Due to many of the Design Features of the Twin Commander, it is one of the most Versatile AirCraft for Multi-Role Operations. The Versatility will be improved with the addition of the expanded Double Cabin Entrance Doors.

Example of an Enlarged Cabin Door

1) This "Double Door" Cabin Entrance Door on a 680 Series Twin Engine Aero Commander, such as what we are planning to Install on N680JW, greatly improves the ability to load Passengers or Large / Over Sized Items into the Cabin. These Doors are smaller than what we are expecting our Final Design and Installation to be. These are the Utility Higher Density Seats which are Installed in this AirCraft, but N680JW has the Plush Seats Installed instead of these Utility Seats.

2) This "Proposed Double Door" Cabin Entrance Door which we would like to Certify on the 680, 685, 690 and 695 Series of the Long Body Twin Engine AeroCommanders; will greatly improve the ability to load Passengers or Large / Over Sized Items into the Cabin. This Drawing is for Double Doors which are 48 Inches High and 36 Inches Wide. We expect that the actual Doors will each be a minimum of 33 Inches to a maximum of 36 Inches Wide for a total usable opening of up to 72 Inches Wide.
